Hellriegel-Institut

The Professor Hellriegel Institut continues the tradition of plant research at Bernburg. This institution furthermore is interested in a lasting development of environment and free space. This institute also researches questions of customers related to agricultural products.

    The Professor Hellriegel Institut deals with questions of applied research in the following areas:

• realisation of practical trials and scientific researches for preparing and evaluating new processes in the integrated planting and in agrarian ecosystems
• researches related to the usage of plant resources  in the non-food-area
• scientific guidance of measures related to the development in the free space, in the design of landscapes and in the protection of environment and nature
• fostering of measures for recovering damaged ecosystems
• conservation of the cultural landscape
• food and nutrition research
• research of consume, research of the economical acting in private households, analysis of efficiency and development of quality management systems in domestic service enterprises
